A website is not a digital business card. It has to earn trust, collect enquiries and appear in search. The wrong studio wastes budget and a year of momentum. Here is the checklist we use at Sby Creative when founders compare agencies in Turkey and abroad.
Live work beats a theme gallery
Open real URLs. Check mobile navigation, forms, speed and the language switcher. Are the words written for that brand or leftover placeholder copy? If you sell internationally, the English pages must feel as considered as the local language. Weak English signals “local experiment” to overseas buyers.
The process should be written down
Discovery, wireframes, design, build, QA and launch need dates and owners. Revision rounds, your content deadlines and what happens if approvals slip should sit in the proposal. “It will be ready in a month” collapses the first time copy is late. Serious teams say so in writing.
SEO is part of delivery
Pretty sites that never get indexed are the most common leftover debt. Titles, meta descriptions, a single H1, internal links, XML sitemaps and hreflang belong in the launch checklist. We treat them as delivery, not a later upsell.
Who stays after go-live?
Backups, broken forms and small copy edits need an owner. Smaller companies often want a light retainer; larger brands want a response time. We split scope and support as separate lines so invoices stay predictable.
If those four points are clear, comparing price becomes honest. When you are ready, request a quote and we will tighten the scope with you.
